How do you go about swapping Links character model?

Question

As I understand, you guys are going to swap Link with the Hero of Light, so I know this can be done, but how? Not to mention I've seen some videos of people playing as Mario and Samus. What tools do I need and where do I find them?

I'm interested in playing around with Links character models for both child and adult Links just for kicks. Plus I'd like to see what the adventure would be like playing as a different character. To keep things simple, I'll just start with character models that are already in the game / rom, like Zelda for example.

OFF TOPIC:

Hmmm, that would be interesting playing as Zelda now that I think about it. After all, the series IS named after her.Posted Image

Update: I tried using HxD to try swapping offsets, all I managed to do was break the ROM. No success yet.

EDIT: I also tried using UoT, and all I can get is this error...

Error reading file: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Also, SayakaGL can't "Identify ROM". Exact words, "ROM could not be identified!"

and ZRE doesn't do anything.

Specs:

•Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit

•Intel i3 2.53 GHz

•4 gigs of RAM

•Better yet, I'm on a Toshiba Satellite A665-S5170

Apparently there's an old program called ZAP2 : Zelda Actor Placement 2

I've been Google-ing my butt off and I can't find ONE friggin legit download. I DID, however, find a file by the name of "zap2.zip", but it was some jerks crappy music. Does anyone have this program or know where to get it?

There are a couple of ways you can go about doing this; the 'simplest' way is by tacking Zelda's display lists onto the end of Link's (or overwriting if there's enough space) and repointing the offsets for the individual limbs. There is also a tool made by spinout which can import and export individual zobj display lists, however I'm not certain if he has finished support for texture mirroring at this stage.

Hmmmm, you mean by using HxD right? More importantly, how do I go about doing this? Tutorial anywhere? Thank You.

Oh, and btw, I found ZAP2 after hours of searching, and I don't think it can swap Links character, although I haven't messed with it a whole lot yet.

I have another question, and hopefully this'll be the last. I was surfing the forums about a week ago and I found a link to list somewhere that showed all of the actor models' offsets. For example Link would be like 0084FB10-00856570, though I know that's not the right offset.

My question is, Does anyone know or remember where this list was? 'Cause I'm having one Hell of a time finding it again.
