Secant Posted January 4, 2012 Share Posted January 4, 2012 Fairly certain neither Evanescence nor their song My Immortal is considered to be classical, but rather a branch of symphonic metal, not unlike Nightwish. To be specific, few classical songs include lyrics, and those that do are usually in the form of a literary ballad and use some strict form of rhythmic scheme (such as iambic pentameter). </nitpick> The international anthem for blowing shit up, one of my personal favorites. While the ending is the most renown section, the whole composition is in and of itself quite remarkable and truly lives up to the namesake of the genre "classical."
