Gallade was indeed correct about the speed. The three had arrived so fast, it was as if they weren't even in the professor's lab. With a nod, the Pokemon vanished again.

"Oh..." a voice called out. "Are you perhaps here for the ship to Unova? Well, you're just in time. Is that your ticket?"

The time arrived and the SS Serenity set sail, speeding off towards the distant Unova region.

-----

Silver gave a soft sigh.

"This place is so confusing..." he muttered. "I haven't seen any other Pokemon like us."

The smaller Totodile glanced at the larger, giving a nod.

"That's because..." he replied. "...this place has different Pokemon... you won't find many like us around."

It was getting late and both Totodiles were getting tired. Spotting a cave nearby, the smaller Totodile took Silver towards it.

"We'll stay here!" it said, in a bubbly voice. "Until the morning. Then we continue!"

Silver nodded, walking inside the cave. With a sigh, he knew it would be hard for him to get to sleep.

Roughly rubbing away his tears, Ethan slowly got off the bed and left the cabin with Cynder quietly following him. The raven haired teen went to the railing of the ship and leaned against it, staring up at the sky as the wind played with his hair and clothes. 'I miss you...'

The smaller Totodile fell asleep quickly, but Silver remained awake. Heading outside, he sat down, staring up at the stars.

Ethan...

With a whimper, he took a breath, before starting to sing a song that would calm him.

"Somewhere out there

Beneath the pale moonlight

Someone's thinking of me

And loving me tonight..."

Ethan closed his eyes, thinking of a melody that always made him think of Silver ever since he had heard it. A small, sad smile formed, "Somewhere out there

Someone's saying a prayer

That we'll find one another

In that big somewhere out there." He sighed, "And even though I know

How very far apart we are

It helps to think we might be wishing

On the same bright star..."

"And when the night wind starts to sing a lonesome lullaby

It helps to think we're sleeping underneath that same big sky

Somewhere out there

If love can see us through

Then we will be together

Somewhere out there

Out where dreams come true..."

The larger Totodile let out a soft whimper, tears stinging his eyes.

"Ethan..." Silver whispered. "I need you..."

In the past couple of days, Silver and the younger Totodile had covered considerable ground, making it near a small port town, taking shelter in a cave for the night. It was 3am, and he was still sleeping, the younger Totodile cuddled up next to him, like a child Pokemon to its parent. As he slept, his beloved's face still stayed in his mind.

Ethan...

While sleeping, Silver's dreams were of his entire experience with Ethan.

I miss you... I wish you were here with me...

Eyes slowly opening, the larger Totodile gave a soft yawn, glancing over at his smaller companion.

...but what happens if I become human again? Will I have to leave him behind?

Closing his eyes once more, he laid back down and returned to his sleep, unaware that Ethan had arrived in Unova.

Silver remained asleep, the smaller Totodile sleepily opening his eyes and moving closer to the larger Pokemon, snuggling up against him. As his eyes closed again, Silver's slightly opened, and he gave a small smile.

Just like a child seeking protection and warmth.

His eyes closed once more, and the two water-type Pokemon slept.

OFF TOPIC:
I LOVE YOU, KITTEH! :D
As Silver slept, he dreamt of his travels, but instead of being a journey through Johto, or even Kanto, it was of Unova. The Totodile found himself face-to-face with a Cyndaquil. The fire-type stared at him with a shy smile.

"Silver..."

Eyes shooting open, the larger Pokemon jumped to his feet, startling the smaller awake.

"Huh?" the little Totodile mumbled, sleepily rubbing his eyes with his paws. "What's wrong?"

A tad shaken, Silver forced a smile and shook his head.

"It's nothing..." he replied. "Just a strange dream. Go back to sleep."

As Silver sat back down, the smaller Pokemon nodded and moved closer, curling up beside the larger. Within moments, he was asleep again, leaving Silver to ponder to himself.

What's going on here?

Several hours later, Silver felt himself being nudged gently. Giving a soft grumble, he tiredly swatted.

"Ethan..." he mumbled. "Just a few more minutes..."

Another nudge was given, and suddenly as his eyes opened, his vision was filled with a small Totodile, looking at him in confusion.

"You keep talking about Ethan. You never told me about him. Was he... a trainer... who abandoned you?"

Now fully awake, Silver stood and shook his head.

"NO!"

The smaller Totodile shrunk back and whimpered, and Silver instantly felt bad for scaring him. Reaching a paw forward, he gently placed it on the chibi's head.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to scare you. However, Ethan was not a trainer who abandoned me. He and I were... well, you could say we were once rivals, but then, we became so much more. He's... Ethan is my mate."
