KevinB834
Sprite wise. I really have no idea how to make my own sprits, but it would be fun to just mess around with it. Maybe swap sprites for example.
0 Secant
Tile Molester is a solid choice for just about any sprite editing. Failing that, I think the program Hylia Magic is designed to work as a multipurpose editor for ALttP, though I may be wrong on that.

0 KevinB834
I went with Hyrule Magic and it looks easy to use. Just one thing. Is is possible to change the actors in a room? for example "Dungeons- Entrance 00" (Your house) Can I change the desk to something like a bush for example? Scratch that. How about changing the contents inside a chest? Also when I was changing links sprite it says it is not a "16 color" image. How would I make my image "16 color" One more thing. Is there a documentation sheet that will tell you what area, or dungeon number is. Edited March 12, 2012 by KevinB834
0 Gump
For a 16 color image, you need to set up a palette. You can do this with GIMP or Irfran View. You can find tutorials to do that on the web.
0 KevinB834
Here is my test image. Please tell me how I get this into the game. It keeps telling me it is either not the correct size or it is not a 16 color image. to coool said to make a palette for it and if this is the case, how would I go about making it. 0 Zeth Ryder
The reason its not working is cause its only 256 colour palitized when it needs to be 16 bit colour.
