Conker
This lovely Cracked article explains it quite well, if I do say so myself. http://www.cracked.com/blog/5-reasons-diablo-iii-represents-gamings-annoying-future/
Gump
Well, considering I got mine free (won it in a contest), I see no reason not to play it. The thing is, I thought you thought the beta was amazing?
Conker
The beta was amazing, and so is the game; pretty much like the Cracked article says, it just has major problems bogging it down. *cough*online-only single player game*cough* I am passing on my purchase and am only going to get it when it's properly cracked, maybe with some form of server emulation or whatever. They sure as shit aren't getting my money.
Arcaith
You know what? They did the online thing so that character saves are cloud based. But they could just have it sync up with the server at the end of the session instead of having it rely on a constant connection. DERP.
Conker
I think it also had a lot to do with combating piracy. Sent from my swiper using Tapatalk
Arcaith
I suppose. Even so, you can send a session lock once at the beginning and end of gameplay.
Conker
I know. But see, what I'm saying is, since they're more trying to fight piracy by keeping it online-only, that wouldn't matter much in the first place. Arcaith
Oh I know. I mean, you'd have a unique ID on the session lock, which would be linked to the account and CD key of the owner.
