As said in the title, this is a re post of a thread I made in thw zelda universe forums mostly because this site may have tabletop role players considering it history

To prevent any distraction from the Main topic of this thread, I spoiler tagged my entire review of the Starter set for the 4th edition of ruleset.

Ok I got my starters set of dungeon and dragon my first pen and paper Role playing PG to get into but the problem is that it a terrible way of getting into D&D rules and Pen & Paper Role Playing Games in general: It a convoluted(In my opinion) choose you adventure book instead of a basic rule book that attempts to help newcomers but it executed poorly(Again in my opinion) because it does a convoluted job of explaining skill checking and combat in general , also it does't include the full Player/Dungeon master hand book which is annoying for people who are expecting the full rule book forcing them to buy the essentials line of products which are design for newcomers but I would rather buy actual precision dices, a copy of 1st/2nd/3rd edition hand book for Players/Dungeon master, grid maps for the dungeon master and a group of 3 friends to play it with to get into D&D then waste my money on this so called starters set that should have all of the rules and Etc.

I want to know your recommended Edition for Dungeon & dragon rather it the Original book(1974), any of the Advance Dungeon & dragon books(1977-1995) just for the sake of capturing the old school feel that many people grew up with or anything post 3rd edition.

Please don't color your text like that again. It hurt my eyes from even trying to read it. Also, I gave you proper spoiler tags.
