The whinny was soon heard as Link and Diggs rode into the village on Epona's back, both of their eyes seeming to widen for a second.

"Colin!"

The Bulbin brought his helment back down before taking off with the young blond Ordonian.

"Don't worry, I won't let them escape!"

Epona neighed, before racing after them, determination in her eyes as they followed after the group.

Diggs raised his shield, the fiery arrows didn't hit them, before he suddenly leapt off the horse, and kicked the creature right off the Bokohog.

Before he could run out of control, the older male grabbed the reigns and steered it forward. With this thing, it would be easier for him to keep those guys off Link while he was trying to chase after Colin.

With Diggs' help, Link finally made it to the Bridge of Eldin, King Bulblin on the other side. The beast grinned evilly at him, pointing up at Colin, who was tied to a large stick.

"You're dead meat..." Link hissed. "Give Colin back now!"

King Bulblin snickered, before sending his Bullbo towards Link. The boy growled in anger, before sending Epona rushing at the beast.

With a savage roar, Link swung his sword as he got close, managing to barely slice over the beast's abdomen, causing some minor damage. Growling, he turned Epona and rushed at King Bulblin again. Hate filled his eyes as he held his sword ready, letting out a feral roar as he swung it, the blade slamming into King Bulblin's armour with such power that it sent him flying off the bridge. The shock snapped the ropes tying Colin, sending him flying through the air. Giving a gasp, Link could only watch as Colin was heading towards the edge.

"NO!" he screamed. "Colin!"

Diggs gasped, as he jumped off the stone, and raced towards the falling boy.

He couldn't let something like this happen to Colin...

Taking what some would call a leap of faith, he jumped out, and grabbed, the boy by the arm, but not before hitting his stomach against the stone bridge, squeezing his fingers into the edge as he had a steel grip on Colin's arm.

"Oh dear god, that hurt..."

He grumbled a little bit, before pushing himself up, bringing the poor kid back up to safety, cradling him in his arms. His ears flicked a little... Colin looked like Link for a second... kinda like when they were little and he helped Link back up the cliff when he almost fell. He shook himself out of the thought bubble as he carried Colin over to Link and Epona.

Breathing a sigh of relief, Link jumped down from Epona, glancing at the unconscious Colin. Noticing that he was likely resting from shock, the bigger blond breathed another sigh of relief. Looking up at Diggs, he cast a thankful smile. Leaning closer, he carefully pressed a soft kiss to the older boy's lips.

"Thank you..." he said softly, after pulling away. "Colin is... he's kinda like a little brother. If anything happened to him, I would never be able to face Rusl."

Diggs and Link had made it back to Kakariko village with Colin in toe.

The kids, including Beth raced over to see that their village hero had saved the poor young blonde from the clutches of the Bulblin.

Diggs knelt near the ground, having Colin rest against his arm and lap, as he felt him slowly regaining consciousness.

Beth looked like tears were gathered in her eyes, as she shook her head to show she wasn't mad at him.

How could she be mad at the boy who saved her from the Bulblin King?

Diggs seemed a lot more relaxed now... it took a little time, but the kids weren't afraid of him anymore.

A hand was felt on his arm, as he helped Colin lean up a bit.

Colin gave a slight smile.

"I... I think I finally understand..." he said, reaching upwards towards the sky. "I understand what my dad meant when he told me I needed to be stronger, like both of you... He wasn't talking about strength, like lifting stuff. He was talking about being brave... Link... Diggs... You both saved me, didn't you? You... You can do anything. You can do something to help the Gorons in the mine too, can't you?"

Link cast a glance over at Diggs, a determined look in his eyes.

Diggs gave a soft nod, reassuring Colin.

"Yeah, we'll take care of it. No worries, Colin."

Renado went over as the young one closed his eyes in order to rest from his ordeal. He picked up the boy, and nodded at the two boys with a light smile before he headed inside of his house.

A soft murr was heard from the chestnut hair, as he wrapped his arms tightly around Link, pressing softly against his lips, the other's taste making him feel warm.

Link... I would do anything for you...

Even live in the Twilight with you forever...

His eyes snapped open as that thought ran through his head. Was that one of his? The kisses parted after a moment, as Diggs lightly scratched behind his ear.

"We should go now. Gotta take care of the problem at Death Mountain after all."

Link clambered up after Diggs, giving a gasp as he got to the top. A strange rock-like creature glared at the two, before curling up, rolling down towards him. Realising it was likely a Goron, Link snapped his fingers, the Iron Boots appearing on his feet. Getting his stance ready, he gave a smirk as the Goron hit his hands, the blond grunting as he pushed back, stopping the Goron in his tracks before throwing him down the mountain.

"They work..." he breathed suddenly. "They stop me from being affected by the Gorons' power."

Diggs offered a thumbs up to the younger male.

"Awesome!"

The two headed further up the mountain, making sure to avoid the hot steam geysers that were farther ahead.

"Hey, Link... did you wanna have the match with the Elder of the Gorons or would you like me to do it?"

The older lightly scratched his cheek.

Rather protective of his Link, Diggs laid a hand on Link's shoulder, ready to knock someone around if they even tried to come near him.

"ENOUGH!"

The Gorons who looked ready to attack the two boys stopped in their tracks, as two of them who were guarding the entrance to the mines stepped away as a rather short Goron came into view, seeming to be the leader, his arms crossed.

"Are these young ones such an imposing enemy that you must all gang up on him? I think not, Little Brothers."

Both Link went over, standing in front of the Goron Elder, who kept his eyes on the two as they did.

I am a Goron elder, little humans. I am called Gor Coron.Because of certain...circumstances, I must lead the Goron tribe in place of Darbus, our tribal patriarch. Tell me, little human, do you come from the village below? You have done well to come this far. You are strong...for humans. However...The mines beyond here are sacred to my tribe. Outsiders are not allowed. Unless...I could make an exception...but you would have to beat me in a contest of power. Are you willing to try, little humans?"

Diggs gave a nod, as he was undoing the straps of his jacket.

"I'll do it, we both go through the mine if I win, though."

The other Gorons were mumbling to themselves as Coron and Diggs stepped into the ring, seeming that the elder accepted those terms.
