Link finally made it to the other side, though Diggs did need to use Link's sword a bit to fend off beasts that were crawling on the ceiling. Dropping to the floor beneath him, Link landed gracefully and put his love down on the ground, before pressing him to the wall, giving him a loving kiss, before breaking away.

"We're getting closer..." he purred. "It won't be long now."

Diggs held his head, feeling the blush was rushing back to where it was supposed to be. He offered the sword back to the blonde.

"H-Here, before I break your sword too..."

He slowly began to regain his balance as they headed further into the temple, Midna obviously getting excited... the Fused Shadow must have been really close if she was acting like that.

Diggs stared at the strange creature that was breathing rather heavily, it's arms stuck in the air, chains trapping its wrists and ankles.

"Oh boy... I think it might be waking up..."

The jewel on his forehead soon began to glow, as it quickly began to wake up, before it noticed that it had visitors, as it roared angrily twice in their direction, before realizing that it was trapped by chains. Its body was quickly consumed with flames, the metal around his wrists and ankles was soon burning red from the sudden rush of heat, as it was easily able to break the chains keeping it trapped against the ceiling, soon looking ready to attack the two boys.

Noticing the chains around its ankles, Link realised there was only one way to proceed. Rushing behind the beast, he snapped his fingers, equipping the Iron Boots, before quickly grabbing a chain and pulling away. The monster suddenly tripped and fell to the ground, its massive gem glowing angrily.

"This is it!" he hissed. "It's now or never!"

Unequipping the boots, he raced around to the front, attacking the gemstone in a frenzy.

Diggs noticed that the creature was about to get back up, seeming angry and about to attack him again.

He hurried over, and grabbed the blonde, and pulled him away before the arm slashed out to hurt him, which would have burned the blonde as well.

"That was close... least he didn't burn you..."

Once again, Link tripped the beast, before racing around and delivering some more blows. Suddenly, he felt the monster's aura, and with a loud cry, he performed an Ending Blow. Magdoflamoth shrieked in pain, before pieces exploded from him, suddenly coming back together to form the second Fused Shadow. Dark energy came from the remaining part of the beast, which quickly dissipated to show it was a Goron, who groaned and seemed very disoriented.

This must be Darbus...

Link's shadow seemed to move, before Midna suddenly appeared, seeming glad to see that the second shadow had been retrieved.

Eee hee hee! Well done! Now we have two Fused Shadows..."

Midna's hair once again became like the shape of a hand and took the second Fused Shadow into her possession, and quickly hid it away.

"Hmm... You know, you've been very helpful so far, so as a reward, I'll tell you an interesting story. Zant. That's the name of the King of Darkness who cast this pall of shadows over your world. He's very strong. You would be nothing to him in your current state...But Zant will never be my king! I have nothing but scorn for his supposed strength. Not that your Zelda is much better...It still appalls me that this world of light is controlled by that princess. A carefree youth, a life of luxury... How does that teach duty? ...But I guess I shouldn't begrudge her the circumstances of her life. She didn't choose it, after all. And I would never wish harm on her... No, as long as I can get my hands on the Fused Shadows, I'll be just fine.Well, just one more left... Shall we? Eee hee hee!"

She flew a couple feet away, before she created a portal for them to get out of the mines with, waiting for them to be ready to go.

Diggs smiled, as he reached out slowly, and held the other's hand.

"Uhhgh... Urrgh...Hmm? What am I doing here? Unngh... My head, it aches. Urrrgh... So much pain... I cannot remember anything..."

The Goron mumbled, trying to get his senses back.

"The monsters should be leaving now that the Twilight has lifted. The other gorons should be down here to get him soon."

Link glanced around, before suddenly hearing Eldin's voice.

"Heroic Link... Heroic Diggs... North of here, across the plain and past the great stone bridge, in the lands guarded by the spirit Lanayru... You shall find one who you seek..."

The voice faded away, leaving the two boys alone.
