I didn't see a topic for this when searching so I figured I'd go ahead and make one. Find / make any more patches? Post em! Just make sure you state what game they're for and a rough description

I'm intrigued by Epona and the brown horse at the ranch. When doing research to see if I could have people use both Epona and Brownie (as I dubbed it--so original), I couldn't find a separate actor/variable for it. It seemed to be Epona while being a regular horse at the same time. Now I see here that someone put the Gerudo saddle on Epona...is there any way to get to use the Brown horse outside of the ranch?

 

Also, this list is good, but I think the Razor Sword patch has a weird glitch in it from what I remember trying it out.

I would appreciate it if you removed the links to the mod (not the DMA patch; the other) as that is something entirely different from the one shown in that video. The textures were inspired by the one used in that video, though.Anyways, that mod is completely my work and at some point in the future, I plan on finishing and releasing final patch... so I can't have beta patches laying around in public, you see. I merely gave you all, the members of Project Antiqua, a beta patch to give you the choice of using it. I probably should've said to keep the patch between yourselves.Long story short: please remove the link in your post :)

You were on the right track, but still a little confused.

 

The horse that appears in the Zmap listing at the ranch IS Brownie.( I like that name :P )

 

Epona, same actor variable 0000, isn't listed at the ranch, nor at any other loaction you can ride her to.

 

You see she's conditionally loaded,  based on if you've won her in the race against Ingo yet, and if you have won her then she is where you left her last.  The game remebers where she's at, and loads her if you ever return to that map.

Funky. Does that mean there's no way to get Brownie to Hyrule Field? And even if one did, I assume it would disapear once you win Epona.

After FINALLY figuring out (thanks to Sang for the idea) that INGO is the one that makes the brown horse load into the area:

I finally get Brownie into Hyrule Field!

 

You need (as found by JSA for me): 0014 (actor) FFFF (variable) and both groups 001A 00D2 loaded

 

Ingo needs to be on the map and set at: 00CB (actor) 0002 (variable) 00C0 (object)

That's awesome! Great work Giadrosich! That actually makes a lot of sense now that I think on it... since it is an event trigger which causes the entire Lon Lon Ranch, not an object set change, to change so of course it would be Ingo who would be the catalyst... this could come in handy later.

You can also have this in post-saved ranch state, as long as that particular Ingo is loaded into the field. So you can have Epona and Brownie to choose from.

Obviously, Brownie doesn't come with a song, but hey, for what I'm going to use her for, that's all I need. ;) I have plans up my sleeves, but not revealing anything yet.

 

There is an odd thing that ZAP2 lets me know about Brownie:

 

The horse is loaded onto the field just fine, and you can ride it around, but ZAP thinks that it isn't there. It says "actor not found in memory" as if it isn't there in the usual manner, but still put into the map. But the horse is very rideable, and very there.
