Well I've been a member here for about a month now, so I'd like to officially introduce myself.

My name is Douglas, although a few years ago I was given the nickname Heavy by a friend (I don't know why.. I'm not a heavy person) and I guess all of my friends liked the sound of it. Now only family call me by my real name. I'm 22 turning 23 this year.

Like most people here I'm a huge Zelda fan, video gaming has always been a part of my life. My oldest memories are sitting around an NES playing Q-burt, and Super Mario Bros. 3. I didn't get much into Zelda until I was a little older, and my grandmother had bought me a SNES with Super Mario World, and A Link to the Past. As some of you know I have my own project going on, and I'm trying my best to make it worth while. I'm going to dedicate it to my grandmother who has been gone from this world for some time, I  feel that I owe it to her. After all she introduced me to the series, We beat OoT together when it first came out. We stood outside till midnight to get Majora's Mask opening night, and we played it until night the next day. I wouldn't be here on this site if it wasn't for her.

Aside from my love for video games I enjoy music, I play guitar, and write my own songs.. typically punk/rock. I used to draw all the time, and I think I'm pretty good, though I don't do it much now.  If you like Red Hot Chilli Peppers, or the movie Pulp Fiction, you're propably a cool person in my book.

I'm pretty easy going, and laid back.

I really like it here at the GCN. Everybody is cool, and I've even got to meet people that I've looked up too, and inspired me to make my Zelda hack long before I ever came to the GCN. It wasn't until I read that Voyager of Time was made by someone new to the Zelda hacking scene that I really had hopes of actually making a new hack myself. A few years ago it would have been near impossible for me to do it without help. Heck I've had to get lots of help so far.

Anyways I'm glad I'm here and thankful to have met the people I have so far on the GCN.
