Antidote
Nice, but free isn't enough to make me get one, i'd have to be paid ;P
Conker
I'm not going to NOT accept a working video game console for free. I really don't see why anyone wouldn't. :|
Antidote
I would, I have no love for the 360, especially with how many issues my dad has had with his, and it's only a few months old.
Conker
I have no love for the 360 brand, either, but I'm not letting that get in the way of scoring a working one for free.
HeavyZ
Microsoft may suck as a gaming company, but that doesn't mean the games people make for it are bad. and sure Conker, it was "Free" lol
Spire
I'm probably jinxing my 360 as I type this, but I bought mine in October '08 and have never had a single problem with it. Sure, it's clunky and kinda slow now, but every 360-owner I know has gotten the RROD at least once (some upwards of ten times). I consider myself very fortunate to have not dealt with this problem. I left the 360 at home after I moved out and since, my brother—who has never been too interested in gaming—has been playing the hell out of Rock of Ages, and now Limbo and From Dust. I've got a sizable library of on-disc games, but none of them attract him as much as these indie arcade games... and frankly, I don't blame him! They possess a level of artistry that just gets diluted in the blockbusters. Sure, Skyrim and Red Read Redemption may provide giant, beautiful open-world experiences, and a lot of concept art and design built the aesthetic backbone of the finished products, but they aren't art (well, at least I don't see them that way; this of course can be argued and I'm not here to do that). Limbo though... I love where we are in gaming. The technology has evolved in both accessibility and prowess enough that indie developers can, and are—increasingly so—making the more interesting games. I find I am piqued by the unexpected in gaming way more than the great disease that is sequelitis. I'll continue to play the new Zelda and Smash Bros games just because I love them, but they just aren't as interesting as the new, young, creative spirit found in the emerging renaissance that might become a second golden era of gaming: the indie gaming boom of the 2010s. I'm excited to see what happens over the remaining 7 years of this decade.

Spire
I wish I was as lucky as you. :/ Also... First game I went to redownload on this 360. In case my words came across misleading, in no way was I suggesting RDR and Skyrim are bad games (especially RDR, fuckin a). Just that, despite all the good they bolstered (especially RDR, fuckin a) I found missing something... Maybe big blockbuster games with multi-million dollar budgets take themselves too seriously. I guess I've just grown tired of the increasingly realistic gaming trend. I enjoy the games that feel like games.
