Shadow Fire
Director: Morenatsu Project Producers: Morenatsu Project, Gamma-G, Shamoji, Sippo Abasiri Music: SENTIVE, Morenatsu Project Starring: N/A Rating: Plot Hiroyuki Nishimura, a 16 year old boy living in the city, is invited back to the country town of Minasato by one of his close friends, to spend his summer vacation. Upon his arrival, he is greeted by his friends, teenaged kemono (beastmen). It is up to you to decide how Hiroyuki spends his holiday, and if you are lucky, he and one of his friends will fall in love. Review This one is somewhat unique to what I regularly review, as it is an eroge, a Japanese erotic game. Morenatsu (literally, Summer Vacation) is a yaoi game, with a specific focus on developing a romantic relationship with one of the main character's friends. It is in the style of a visual novel, meaning it is very text-heavy. There are some translation issues, but that can easily be looked over, considering the game is Japanese in origin. The character stories are very intricate, and there are many different paths you can take. There are currently 6 husbando possibilities, with 3 more being worked on at this current time. In saying this, the game is not truly completed, but even with the paths to choose from at the moment, it is very immersive, and I have found myself drawn into the story. Each of the characters within Morenatsu have unique personalities, making it easy to relate with some, while making it more difficult for others. Visually, the game may not seem that spectacular, but the environments in the background are actual photographed locations, with a cel-shaded filter applied. Character sprites are very detailed, and the art for the love scenes are very well drawn. While they are originally censored, based on Japanese pornography law, fans have modified the pictures, effectively uncensoring them. In saying that, I managed to code the uncensored pictures into the game, so I get the full enjoyment. The music is wonderful, helping set the mood of the scene. I find myself listening to the music every now and then, and I can imagine myself being drawn into Minasato. There are sound effects, some which are used to comic effect, although a few seem generic. Many, on the other hand, are able to spark the imagination, and complement the scenes nicely. Overall If you're into yaoi, and aren't against human/beastman relationships on a romantic and sexual level, give the game a try. I enjoyed it, but I think that might just be my inner furry talking. =P
CAS-1006
I had an ex who loved that game.Did an rp with a friend where he just threw characters and me and basically said "Spend time with one." I honestly went "Oh god branching paths." and then you like everyone. Then cannot choose.
