Zurg
Remember the guy in Skyward Sword that there was a topic about a while back? Do you also remember the Master Sword girl? (I can't remember if it was confirmed that the girl was the Master Sword or not, correct me if she isn't.) This is the man I am referring to: I saw on a random website from a Google search some awesome speculation that I haven't seen before. Here is my diagram: Here is the original post from the random website I found on a Google search. The person I stole this from said "He's the gilded sword personified, like how the girl is the master sword." My speculation ideas tell me that because there are two people who are personified versions of two major swords in the Zelda universe, there must be personified versions of all the major swords in Zelda. What about the Four Sword or Picori Blade? The double helix sword? Phantom Sword or Lokomo Sword? Please discuss your thoughts. Sage of Mirrors
Gotta remember, Gilded Sword is just the Kokiri Sword with Gold Dust infused into it.
Zeth Ryder
The mastersword I can see having a spirit or persona, but other swords in the Zelda universe? I highly doubt it. The mastersword was forged to protect the realm of the Triforce, a power that evil could never touch but only the bloodline of the hero could, the master sword having a spirit like entity makes a lot more sense then the gilded sword. I'm pretty for sure, its just a coincidence is all in design. It isn't uncommon for a Jester to have diamond like patterns, see images below. Zurg
Taking into account what Sage of Mirrors said, the Kokiri sword having a persona makes sense. The Gilded Sword protects the Kokiri, the Master Sword protects the Hylian.
Forecast
My bets are with Zeth, it's probably an evil jester-like dude.
Mellow
I think I'll be going with Leon on this one, if the Master sword gets a personification, why not the Kokiri Sword? It's not just ANY sword. But chances are that neither of these theories is correct, he doesn't look very Jester-like... other than the diamonds. He most likely is a villain, though... but I hope not, I'm tired of always liking the villains.

Gump
It wouldn't make sense for the Gilded sword to be personified, considering it is a souped up version of the Kokiri sword. It would make more sense if the Kokiri sword looked like that begin with, but it didn't. It looked like a simple knife. But eh, just my opinion

But eh, just my opinion I've looked into it since I posted that, and I have shifted to a different stand point. There is a good possibility that he is a redesigned personification of the Skyward Sword, instead of the old Fairy Queen Skyward Sword we all know.“â€ÂBasically what leads Link on this adventure is the Skyward Sword,†said Aonuma. “When that sword is actively guiding Link it actually transforms into a feminine figure. I wouldn’t say that it’s female per se but it’s a feminine figure.â€Â"
Zurg
Well going off of that I would say that if this guy is the Skyward Sword as well, we would have seen a lot more of him. Not just a simple clip or two in a single trailer. But that quote is pretty informative, you may be right.
