Zurg
I might know a thing or two about computers but when something happens and there is no error code to google I have no where else to turn but people who know what they are talking about. So a little bit of background for the problem is that I am trying to install the Linux Mint distribution. This same sort of error has happened when trying to boot any sort of Linux distribution. No matter which version of iso I choose or how I burn it the problem continues. Whenever I boot a live CD or install it via Mint4Win and try to boot that way it just shows this: Also I used to run Linux Mint on this same hardware so the problem started recently after I installed Windows 7. I don't know if that caused it or whatever, but yeah. Please help, I am sick of Windows.
spinout
If you have and are using a graphics card, try switching over to the onboard graphics card. Have you tried loading GRUB?
Zurg
I haven't, and I figured it was something to do with my graphics card. I am using a DVI cord that plugs straight into my graphics card, I have no idea where my VGA is though. Better start looking thanks for the help. Also, what would loading GRUB do in this situation? I am noob.
Shadow Fire
Three words: Safe graphics mode. Seriously, when I once used Ubuntu, I had to install using safe graphics mode. This can apply especially for 64bit hardware. There should be an option on the install disc for it.
Zurg
Edit: How do I do that in Linux Mint...?
Shadow Fire
In LinuxMint when you would put the install disk in and booted the computer, a green bubble-y background would appear and would say "LinuxMint will load in 10 seconds". During those 10 seconds, hit spacebar and then select to load into compatibility mode. That should work. Google is good at finding stuff.

Andreawws!
Install ubuntu. (or at least that is my advice) there doesn't seem to be any problem when installing the latest ubuntu release (64 bit hardware, tried with both 64 and 32 bit OS)
