john_smith_account
It's the first map from DOOM. Enough said. http://www.sendspace.com/file/eic9g0

spinout
Good to see you're still (?) active, JSA. How exactly did you do this? Did you RE some version of Doom and convert it to something the OoT engine can handle, or did you export obj and use xdaniel's tool to re-import it somehow? Regardless of the methods you used, I must agree that the results are excellent.
Lishy
I'm new here, and I love you already. This makes me really want to port the maps I've made for Doom! However, what did you do to convert the .WAD to a format friendly with OoT? Mind enlightening us newblets?
Arcaith
He used this program, though you'd need to convert any 3D you want to use to an .obj file first.
Lishy
I can understand he used that tool. The question is how did he convert a .wad to a format friendly with SharpOcarina like .obj? Being that I come from the Doom modification community, I'd like to know.
Arcaith
There are programs that can be used to rip 3D data loaded into memory, although it's also possible he simply made the model himself and ripped the textures only.
john_smith_account
Thanks for all the positive response. The txt file included gives all the details on how it was created. http://sketchup.goog...7f9&prevstart=0 The sketchup map's creator offers to give details, and resources to port other DOOM maps to sketchup. The method Arcaith describes might work better, or be combined with the original porter's methods to produce faster/better results.
