Idea: Splitting Enemies?

Question

There is an enemy in Zelda 1, I forgot it's name, but it was seen in promo footage of Zelda 64, and such. (The gel-like thing.) If anyone knows the assembly to do it, maybe you could apply the Floormaster's code to a different enemy to make it split into three parts? If anything, I think the torch slug would be the best choice. Eh, I thought it was a cool idea. Let me know if this gets done. :D Might be something nice for the URA project.
