Eli
Like maybe some at Nintendo has an odd sense of humor and is like "Let me add some odd stuff to this rom so some of it does not make sense and I'll add some beta stuff so people will actually try to get it" Then he sat backed and laughed in his chair as people spent hours figuring out some of the stuff he put in there that doesn't fit Like 2 Jabu Jabu's in one room causing a crash, he stuck the beta ocarina standing point so people would be like "Oh my god that sooo cool" Then upon trying to see it, it causes a crash. Like a giant troll face I mean really some of the stuff does not even make sense
Zeth Ryder
The two jabu jabu's in that cutscene are what made it crash to begin with. The OOT pedestal doesn't crash it, also you can find that in OOT 1.0 rom as well.

I meant that is was there so people wanted to look at itThen it would crash due to Jabu Jabu
Lishy
My theory on the whole jabu jabu thing is that it is loading a cutscene and normal zora fountain at the same time. Beta Quest is just all cutscene maps, right?

Beta Quest is just all cutscene maps, right? No, Beta Quest is going through several object sets that are "defined" within the map headers, depending on the value you set for the code. DeathBasket
I thought beta quest was just cutscene maps with the cutscenes themselves disabled... I got the same thing to happen when messing with exits and cutscenes a while back.
xdaniel
One map header is one "state" of the map - be it that it's designated for Child or Adult Link or that it's a cutscene - with object sets being the most visible manifestation of that. And as far as I'm aware, Beta Quest selects one of those, then runs the game in cutscene mode without actually starting the cutscene.
