Rinku
Hello, Does anyone have ZTE, the Zelda Text editor? I'm not able to find any working download links... Thank you very much! Oh, and I have a quick question: How to extract OoT's maps to edit them (with sketchup)?
0 SanguinettiMods
You can find a ZTE link on GlitchKill, but it's not the most working thing ever. You can extract OoT Maps either with Nemu or OZMAV2. The textures aren't always the best, so you can edit vertexes with UoT.
0 Rinku
Thank you! I think I'll wait for a "better" text editor to be released... I thought Nemu was an emulator? OZMAV2 extracts maps as .obj files, but Sketchup can't open them... Which UoT version are you using to do that (to edit vertexes)?
0 SanguinettiMods
UoT v 0.90. Nemu is an Emulator, but with the Default Plugin, you can extract maps from the v1.0 ROM as a VRML file.
0 Rinku
Would Sketchup be able to import VRML files? On a side note, I tried to import OZMAV2 .obj files with Blender, but they don't work...they also don't work for SharpOcarina. And completely off-topic: Which tool do you use to pull/push the triangles to make the natural landscape on sketchup in your video?
0 SanguinettiMods
It's called the Smoove tool. You'd be better to get a multiple file type converter. Such as Deep Exploration.
